Brig and I were so happy to host a visit form The Cleo Springs / Aline Oklahoma Boy Scout Troop on April 19th, 2008.
The boys and girls learned about how to feed all the animals. They especially enjoyed feeding them by hand and gathering eggs. They also learned about trimming goat’s hooves and took turns catching them so that I could inspect the hooves and trim-em up.
Everybody had soda pop and fruit for a snack and played until it was time to go home. The boys and girls were very well behaved and respectfully shook my hand and said thanks. It was nice to visit with such a great group of young people.
Special thanks to Clifton and Sandy Wallace for bringing the troop up to Shady Hill! We really enjoyed having you here on the farm. Below you will find a bunch of pictures of the children’s activities! Oh, Charlotte the mamma Pig will have her babies on April 28th. We expect that she will have at least a dozen!
Hope you can all come back soon!
Brig and Steve
