Established by Steve and Brig Newman, Shady Hill Farm opened its doors to the public on April 1st, 2008. (We recently got married, see events page!) Shady Hill is a working guest farm that provides the visitor a convenient way to learn about traditional farm life while building life experiences that will live in your memory for years to come. We have a nice selection of plants, vegatables, eggs and animals among other things for sale. See 'Products and Services' page for more details.
Vision:
Agritourism is the crossroads of tourism and agriculture. Shady Hill provides mutually beneficial opportunities for both the visitor and the local farming community.
Our five year plan calls for the construction of a small home brewery, cabins, and much, much more. Keep an eye out for announcements on this website for fun new opportunities to enjoy on Shady Hill Farm! UPDATE: Steve has just completed his first batch of "Feisty Goat Bootleg Beer". He is in the process of perfecting his recipe. Not much longer now! = )

| Established in April 2008, Shady Hill Farm is located along Highway 8, near Aline Oklahoma in Alfalfa County, which is in the North Western corner of the state. The area that surrounds Shady Hill is one of the greatest grain producing regions of the world. The people of this community are incredibly friendly and the abundant wildlife and wide open spaces provide unique opportunities for visitors to enjoy. Come on any Sunday and enjoy church services with Polly Young at the Aline Christian Church! Jesus loves you! | Testimonials and other things. My son came up here with the Boy Scouts and loved this place, now he wants to buy a rabbit! Do you have any left, asked the Scouts mother? "Of course" I said "take your choice"! They left with a nice little baby grey rabbit and two Rhode Island Red chicks! Free to a good home! I have about five adult male cats that are so loving! Come and get one if you would like! Steve |
